Finally Friday!...or almost anyways :)
That means that much closer to Thanksgiving, the end of the semester, July 28th! But on the flip side that means the deadline is that much closer to my 30 page paper due for Texas history class ughh.

At the beginning of the school year Nacogdoches was somehow lucky enough to be blessed with its very own.... CINNABON!  And on opening day the first 50 customers could purchase a six pack of cinnamon rolls and receive a card for 1 free cinnabon a week for the rest of the year! Adam was one of those lucky people (that's why I love him!)

So last night Adam took Nicole and I out for a cinnamon roll

MMMHH! Soo Good!

Workout this Morning:
3 Mile warmup
On the track: 8 by 800 @ 80 sec pace with 35sec jog recovery in between
1.5 Mile cool down

Ab workout yesterday:
Regular crunches-80
Straight Leg crunches-80 (You must keep your knees bent though or it hurts your back!)
Straight legs in the air- 80 (reach across your body with hand to opposite foot, back and forth)
Russian Twist- 100 (Sitting on your tail bone with legs bent and feet off the ground, hand clasped in front of you, twist your torso to the right and left so your hands are no longer in front of you. Going to the left and right very quickly)
Regular plank- 1 min (hold your body straight and in a plank position balancing on your toes and forearms)

Planks extreme (Hard!)- hold the plank position for 30 secs then rise up onto your hands and back down to elbows one arm at a time for five times. Hold the plank another 30 secs and then do five more intervals of going up and down)

For dinner tonight:

I haven't really cooked in a while Adam's mom was really great and about a month ago loaded his refrigerator with sooo much frozen pre-cooked dinner that she had already made. We have been eating well for a while ;) But sadly all good things must come to an end and back to the stove for me (I really like it though! so no worries)

We had: Cheesy, Ground turkey, rice, beans, corn combo! (what a creative name I cam up with lol)

Ingredients:

  • cup and a half of pre cooked long grained rice
  • Pound of browned ground turkey
  • half a can of corn
  • can of black beans (15oz)
  • Can of Tomato soup (this would be for the blander taste (Adam) I would prefer a half cup of Salsa to give it a kick)
  • Half a cup of sour cream
  • handful of cheese in it and on top
  • Season with salt/pepper/garlic powder/onion powder
  • Cook at 350 for about 20- 25 mins

And, Oven baked green beans!
Can of green beans (fresh would be better though), put in a bowl, pour little bit of olive oil over, then season with salt and pepper.  Place evenly on baking sheet and thats all. So easy!

Also, one last thing..Kroger has some awesome deals going on right now so go stock up on 50cent Campbell's soups and Del Monte green beans for Thanksgiving green bean casserole!!
