National Club Cross Country Championships

Back from Seattle!
This past weekend I went with team Green to run at the National Club Cross Country Championships in Seattle, Washington.  The trip was wonderful and along with a race I was very happy with I also was able to gain a lot of experience of this new and different running field i'm in now.

First off: The Race
We ran at a golf course (I should know the name, but I don't) in Seattle, the temperature was in the 30's with an overcast grey sky and slight misting throughout the day. The ground was wet and squishy (which is where my spikes came in so handy!) The race was a 6K.
Here is Marie and I at the starting line
This is the start and all 265 girls that ran! Big crowd!

A random shot from the middle of the race.

When it was all said and done I ended up in 27th place and ran a huge PR of 20:53, for 6k! I was so surprised with the results, during the race I felt like I was doing well but had no idea I was close to hitting sub 21:00!

Here is the link to the video of the race and the full results list:

Right before our race the Men's Masters race was being run. This was truly so inspirational! A masters division of a race is for men over 40yrs. They were running a 10K and there were guys out there who were in their 70's and 80's and getting it done! I was impressed to say the least.

We stayed in downtown Seattle, being from the suburbs its always a fun time when you get to experience downtown life in any city! Here is a view from our hotel window...

Though it was fun to experience a new state its always nice to come home to Texas :)

So im not sure if I am completely behind on this and everyone already knows or not, but I just saw this today and was very excited to say the least....

Men in Black 3 trailer!
I am now off to finish that paper (yes, the one I have been complaining about for at least a month lol) its due tomorrow so were now down to the wire, crunch time!
