The run this morning:
all in all 1 hour and 52 mins equally a whopping 15 miles wooo!
The weather while pretty chilly before we started, warmed up and was perfect throughout the run! Marie and I explored a little ways down a country road that we didnt know existed...an adventure oohh :)
Two sausage Kolaches for a post run meal and I was ready to start the day!
Exciting moment numero uno (this is italicized to enforce my Spanish accent): I fishtail braided my hair today!
Now this may not seem very exciting but I had this on my "learn to do this list" for a long while now and with a reminder picture from Pinterest.com I set my mind and cleared some time and wallah!
I found the website: http://hellobeautiful.com/style-beauty/hellobeautifulstaff2/how-to-fishtail-braid/
which gave me the steps to follow.
Don't judge too much, it is my first attempt!
Ya fishtail!
After this we went and set up the course ...(Yes,SomeMore!) So now it is completely beautiful and ready to be torn to bits tomorrow by the spikes of Southland runners!
Exciting moment numero dos: Afterwards, Pre-race dinner at Auntie Pasta's with the team, mmmm :) If you ever come to Nac. you absolutely must try Auntie Pastas. It is a home town Italian restaurant, I would recommend the Lasagna, Chicken Guadalupe, or Mama's spicy chicken and shrimp pasta...all wonderful!
(Chicken Guadalupe: my personal fav!)
Tonight though I tried one of the specials: Chicken Diablo, chicken with spicy chipotle sauce over fettuccine with mushrooms, and tomatoes. Right up my alley!
Not as pretty in my to-go box but still soo good, I would put it on the top list!
Adam and I then got to go and visit with his parents, who are in town for the race tomorrow!
To all the Lumberjacks and Ladyjacks racing tomorrow: GOOD LUCK!! yall will do awesome, run yall's own race and run smart. Push hard when it hurts and know that you have the ability to be great! This is your home course, so you know what you need to do and where to do it. AXE 'EM JACKS!
